Women in Abolition 7-8 pm after a museum-hosted reception at 6:30 pm Published writer, lecturer, historian, and trial lawyer Mark Bodanza will present a talk on the Role of Woman in the Abolition Movement. He wrote a biography about a particular ardent female abolitionist from Leominster named Frances Drake. She was a conductor on the Underground Railroad and helped in a nationally famous rescue of a slave named Shadrach Minkins. His books will be available for purchase.
