Job title: Group leader
Reports to:
Children's Program Director

Job Summary:
 Coordinates and supervises one section of the Pals mentoring sessions for young children and contributes to the ongoing monitoring and development of the Pals section of the HOPE for Kids program.
Essential Functions:
Coordinates recruitment, intake, and  providing a safe, happy and effective environment for recreation and for learning basic skills, including social skills. Maintains records on and conducts follow-up of participants; Assists with and attends special outings and events for program participants; Arranges, conducts and oversees transportation arrangements for participants.
Skills required:
 Ability to work well with young children, volunteers, parents and other professionals and organizations; organizational skill; creativity; enthusiastic and competent leadership for recreation and developmental education of participants.
 
Must be at least 18 years old and must meet one of the following:
- Have a Bachelor's or Associate's degree and have three months of experience working with school age children.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent and six months of experience working with school age children including three months of supervised experience at a school age child care program.
-Have nine months of experience with school age children including three months of supervised experience at a school age child care program.
