Job Description: Member Relations Coordinator

Greater Gardner Chamber of Commerce The Greater Gardner Chamber of Commerce, a non-profit organization focused on economic development and community engagement, is seeking an enthusiastic, qualified candidate to join our team. The Chamber serves the communities of Ashburnham, Barre, Gardner, Hubbardston, Templeton, Westminster, and Winchendon.

Position Details
• Job Type: Part-time (flexible schedule with additional hours during peak times)
• Location: Gardner, MA
• Compensation: Determined upon experience

Key Responsibilities
• Generate and manage member dues billings and reports.
• Actively promote Chamber membership to local businesses and organizations.
• Create and manage social media content (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn).
• Publish weekly e-newsletters using Constant Contact.
• Establish professional relationships to build a network of referrals.
• Accurately maintain and update the membership database.
• Conduct outreach to members with overdue accounts (60–90 days).
• Collaborate with regional Chamber colleagues to enhance membership recruitment efforts.
• Provide logistical support for Chamber events, including preparation, day-of assistance, and follow-up.
• Track event/program registrations, payments, and communications.
• Respond to incoming phone calls and inquiries.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Requirements
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and organized with excellent time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as social media platforms and web browsers.
• Familiarity with Constant Contact or similar email marketing tools (training provided for membership database).
• Comfortable engaging with business professionals across various industries.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs. and sit or stand for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.

Work Environment
• Collaborative, fast-paced, and team-oriented office environment.
• Supported by an engaged Board of Directors dedicated to local business growth and economic health.

Schedule
• Flexible within business hours (12-20 hours per week).
• Availability for occasional evening events required. Usually Wednesday or Thursday evenings. Current event list available HERE.
