Medical Esthetician Job Summary
We are seeking a licensed Esthetician to join our growing team. As part of our Medspa staff, you will play a key role in ensuring our clients have a relaxing and rejuvenating experience in our facility. You will provide a variety of services, including skin assessments and treatment recommendations, facials, microdermabrasion, microneedling, chemical peels, and laser hair removal. In addition to providing spa services, you will be responsible for promoting the skincare products we sell. The ideal candidate will bring excellent customer service skills, credibility, and high integrity, coupled with an excellent work ethic. You will need to be able to work independently and be motivated to bring in new clients. You will need to have the expertise to create a highly customizable aesthetic care plan for your clients to help them look, feel and be their best!
Esthetician Duties and Responsibilities
· Welcome clients and explain to them the list of products and services
· Act as a liaison to the medical director
· Conduct consultations for clients with problem areas, advising how best to care for their skin
· Perform skincare services including facials, microneedling, microdermabrasion, and chemical peels, with the potential to expand to additional services
· Suggest various upgrades, such as the use of specialized PCA Skin products
· Laser hair removal (if laser certified)
· Attend all staff meetings and continuing education workshops
· Help train new staff when necessary
· Follow-up with clients within a reasonable timeframe after receiving services
· Promote company memberships and in-app purchases
· Clearly document care provided in the electronic medical record
· Ensure payments have been made for services
Esthetician Requirements and Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree is a plus
· Current MA state esthetician's license in good standing
· Significant work experience and knowledge as an esthetician with PCA Skin products, facials, microneedling, microdermabrasion, and chemical peels
· Exceptional customer service skills
· Sales experience; Be able to suggest and sell products based on specific needs
· Laser certification preferred
· Carry personal malpractice insurance or ability to obtain malpractice insurance
· Proven time management, organizational and follow-up skills
· Reliability, flexibility and attention to detail
· Computer competency
